Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Governance & Risk Assistant to join a member focused Industry Fund in Melbourne. This role will see you working alongside the General Manager of Governance & Risk, to support the provision of Governance, Risk & Compliance to both the Fund and the Trustee.

Key role responsibilities:
- Assisting the GM - Governance & Risk across a variety of fund governance, risk and compliance tasks to ensure adherence to internal policies & procedures, legislation and regulatory requirements
- Support both internal & external auditing processes as necessary
- Maintain a variety of internal registers
- Liaise with Insurance Brokers in relation to the Trustee's Indemnity Insurance policies
- Ensure all statutory information is up to date on the Fund's website and public documents
- Ad hoc Governance & Compliance tasks, as required
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Relatable industry experience and exposure to legislation and/or internal audit/risk management is advantageous
- RG146 Superannuation or tertiary qualifications in a related topic, highly regarded
- Ability to be hands on across a variety of tasks, with a positive approach to all aspects of the role
- Excellent written & verbal skills essential
- Ability to focus on the detail while seeing the bigger picture
- Comfortable liaising with both internal & external stakeholders
- Mature and transparent approach to raising issues
